Dining at Gopher Ridge

The Finest Meal You'll Have in Hunting Boots

Every hunt deserves a meal worth remembering.

As the sun sets behind the Appalachian Mountains and stories from the day’s hunt begin to fill the room, something special is already happening in our kitchen. At Gopher Ridge, dining is more than a meal—it’s an essential part of the sporting experience.

Our culinary philosophy is simple: Honor the land. Celebrate Appalachian traditions. Welcome every guest like family.

Our menus are inspired by what our ranch and the surrounding mountains provide. Signature Watusi beef raised on our farm shares the table with premium elk, venison, wild turkey, and majestic red stag—prepared with the same respect and care that defines every hunt.

From slow-smoked appetizers and hand-cut steaks to cast-iron Southern favorites, fresh-baked breads, seasonal vegetables, and homemade desserts, every plate reflects our commitment to Rustic Elegance—where authentic mountain hospitality meets refined lodge dining.

Each season brings new flavors and chef-inspired creations, allowing returning guests to discover something new while enjoying the signature dishes that have become Gopher Ridge traditions.

Dinner isn’t simply served here. It’s shared. It’s where hunting stories become legends. Where lifelong friendships are strengthened. Where fathers and mothers celebrate first hunts with their children. Where business partners become trusted friends. Where every evening ends with laughter around the fireplace and one more story before turning in.

Because while trophies eventually hang on walls…The best stories are told around the table.

Signature Dining Experience

Every evening features chef-inspired Appalachian cuisine thoughtfully prepared using ingredients raised on our ranch and sourced from the surrounding region.

A Table Worth Gathering Around

Some guests come for the trophy. Some come for the mountains. Many return because they remember sitting around this table—sharing exceptional food, a glass of bourbon, and stories they’ll tell for years to come.

"We booked because of the world class hunting. We came back because of everything else.”
